Not claiming at all that sales will come in better than expected, but it’s interesting to note that for the first 20 weeks of this financial year we were 7.4% ahead of FY22 sales for the corresponding period, despite total FY22 sales exceeding total FY23 sales. Obviously online played an outsized part in FY22 outperformance, but isn’t it fair to say that on initial trading numbers alone, anything can happen for the remaining 6+ months of trading?
