Yes - I did see that. It was pretty interesting. I was wondering what I could look up to see if this was reality or not - the closest I could get was Google trends.

So here is my logic and results - and be mindful that the chart is interest over time, which is defined as
"Numbers represent search interest relative to the highest point on the chart for the given region and time. A value of 100 is the peak popularity for the term. A value of 50 means that the term is half as popular. A score of 0 means there was not enough data for this term":

1. I searched for Candles - which Dusk has the top ranking on the google search.
2. I searched for Dusk candles - just to be as specific as a customer may want to be.
3. I searched for Dusk the brand - the issue here though is that other searches for this term will muddy the results. Having said that, human behaviour comes through with the goods and mitigates the inevitable noise since we can see that it spikes during each gifting season.
4. I searched for Candle - just to balance up 'candles' search.

2022 December Peak for each:
Candle: 95
Dusk Candles: 5
Dusk: 57
Candles: 74

2023 December Peak for each:
Candle: 100
Dusk Candles: 6
Dusk: 67
Candles: 74

So to conclude, it appears that there has been more interest in google trends for each one of the search terms except for "candles". The search could of been further narrowed by changing the 'All categories tab' to something more specific (Maybe?), however im not sure if this would corrode the results. For example, when I changed it to 'Shopping', it showed very high interest in 'Dusk', and we arent sure whether this was shopping for a song that included Dusk in the name, or if it was Dusk the brand. None the less, I think what it absolutely does say is that fragrance companies have at least benefited from higher interest in 2023, and hopefully Dusk has capitalised on that with their market share.
