"Do your own research" is good advice. Sometimes new people just read a ramp on Hotcopper and then get upset when they lose their $2,000. I does happen.

Another comment is IMHO or "in my humble opinion" or variants thereof. This was very popular after a director of CDU did what you stated, threatened to sue posters on Hotcopper.
HC is very powerful sometimes. It has had quite large effects on stocks like cdu, key, gdn and cvi in the past. Sometimes a certain poster (like trade4profit for example) could bring an army of followers into a stock. especially on the back of some high profile successes. Go tda!

The sla thread has been suspended for postings for years because sla directors weren't happy about what was written there.

Quite often posters and posts have been mention with the press too. Sometimes newspapers quote from hotcopper posts.
