AVB's acquisition yesterday shows the Carajas is practically made of Cu, with a bit of Fe thrown in.
Personally still not 100% sure CTM will drill Pebas this month as they claim. The wet season is not too extreme at the moment precipitation-wise (going on Parauapebas weather), however thunderstorms are predicted on a daily basis at the end of month and nothing shuts a rig down quicker than lightning (at least here in Australia and rigs being essentially a metal mast sticking up in the air). Having said that, CTM say Pebas will be unaffected by the wet season, so we'll just wait and see.
They also say, due to the ground faulting, that Pebas is a likely Antas North/Antes Norte analogue. In which case, they better have a good drill crew, as AVB's first 11 holes at Antas (AAND 1 - 11) were abandoned due to ground conditions providing for an inability to recover samples. Some of the subsequent holes were nothing short of fantastic (27m @ 5% Cu & 30m @ 3% Cu, to name but 2 if memory serves correct).
Anyway, expect to hear by next week one way or another (and happy to be wrong).
