POG has bounced from $1610 nearly 1 month ago and is now $1676. I guess it needs to push past $1700 for gold miners to become bullish stocks again. But I think the likeliest factor at play here is the USD bull market at the moment. EVN fell quite sharply down into the $2.60 region this week just as the USD rose quite significantly against all other major currencies (including AUD) as a result of trade tensions. Investors are preferring USD to gold as safe haven asset.
