Yeah thats an ugly chart alright.
ASB has promise, particularly with the support/servicing investments being made now and the OPC once its drumbeat is stable. The problem is that promise won't be realised for at least another 2-3 years - and obviously the execution risk.
If you look at the current building program, it is continually slowing. Time taken to get ships in the water then handed over and commissioned is blowing out.
The next 2 years at least will be tough going from a P&L perspective. Might be some upside with some additional contract wins like the Australian amphib contact or more importantly some ferries for the Philippines/Vietnam (maybe those Perth EV ferries??)
Looks about fair value here at about $600m.
