upheaval

The justification for the emotional and contentious move to relocate from Australia to the USA was the BARDA contract (even though the contract was not contingent on such a move, and there was no expectation that Biota should move. Not that we knew of )

if there was an expectation or a strong suggestion from BARDA that Biota should move to the US then Biota management should show evidence of this. BARDA would then need to answer to this.

If indeed Biota management voluntarily decided to upheave and leave our shores on the basis of the BARDA contract then you would expect that the contract was Water Tight.

clearly the contract is not watertight, so our old management team (and current chairman) seemed to have let us down yet again.

and the most bizarre thing from the termination notification announcement from biota last night was BARDA have given no details of the reason for the termination..

So we uproot, move to the USA and then $160 million of expected funding is cancelled abruptly, and Biota are given no clear reasons ?

Maybe the liquidity event backfired on Plumb. let's raise capital for no specific purpose so we can have more liquidity. Maybe someone in the US govt questioned why are they funding a company that raises its own money for no specific purpose.

It seems that the only way that Biota will see a healthy share price is a global flu scare. This is the reason to remain a holder - you never know when this event could happen. At some stage it will, and the traders will get giddy, and provide us with an exit price where we won't be staring at substantial financial losses.

ironic that many of us long term holders will stop feeling emotionally sick when many of others get physically sick.
