Based on the figures generated in 2006 if any of the upper sands are successful we could have quite a bit of oil to produce.....Comparing the latest progress report with the reports issued back in 2006 I am not sure whether they have found new formations, lost old formations or just gotten confused again???? .....
From the 8 original upper sands....
the formations they have mentioned in the latest report and the previous estimated OOIP of those formations were.....
Phayles - one of the larger sands not previously estimated..
Shannon sandstone - in the 2006 report there was an upper and lower shannon sand, not now....
Upper Shannon - No estimate of OOIP. one of the larger sands not reviewed..
Lower Shannon - 9.9mmbls OOIP..
Frontier - Not sure were the 3rd frontier came from becouse up until this week there were only ever 2 frontier sands!!!
1st Frontier - 13.4mmbls OOIP...
2nd Frontier - 18mmbls OOIP...
it would appear that ELK are not targeting either of the sussex sands or parkman, no doubt due to previous failures of those formations...
Heres hoping!!
Cheers
