If it costs UPS triple to deliver to homes and with surcharges coming for the privilege, a natural progression in time might be for e-retailers to offer consumers on their website the option of free or discounted freight cost if they choose instead to have it delivered directly to a convenient local UPS locker bank of their choice, spurring in turn demand for more locker banks.
