Upside for GTG?

Came across GTG in skipping across the biotech sector on the ASX. Lots of shares but oh so little value. Is there an upside here?

In scanning the recent announcements my read is that the company publishes risk assessment methods that make use of a combination of genetic and lifestyle factors. As I understand it these tests are to complement established testing for known cancer genes.

The sell appears to be that the GTG products can reduce prospective health costs through universal GTG assessment so as to change lifestyles and eliminate the low risk population from further attention. That is a big sell that does not appear to be supported by clinical data despite GTG having launched products. False negatives could also be a big problem. Not really sure governments will take a GTG approach seriously.

GTG say they won't have a commercialisation strategy until after some clinical work. That is not so good for investors.

    "Where's the beef?"
