It is almost 2 years since Prof Tour did that video presentation - since then the amount of data stored globally has almost doubled if his statement were correct. If it keeps doubling every 2 years or close to it then it is hard to comprehend how much memory the world needs in the next 10 years. Every devices going forward is going to need more memory and more reliability and speed as well. We're in the place at the right time.
