Hi Folks
2008 has seen Uran start to build momentum regarding news and projects and imminent acquisitions and prospective deals in Ukraine.
Those who have caught onto the story in 2008 and invested for the most part would be happy enough and in the money.
Uran has been busy pushing the Czech theme and recently have focused on opportunities outside of uranium with UEPL.
Once again we see 'another' door closed in Czech. Thats life. Not a criticism of the company.
But approaching May 2008 and 18 months since the protocol was signed we are still 'waiting' for the company to deliver.
As a result of this 'waiting'...and of other failed attempts to acquire projects, Uran is no longer trading in the heart of the 'boom cycle' that was the uranium buzz in 2006 into 2007.
They failed to deliver to shareholders in the time frames they themselves promised and as a result many shareholders, myself included, have taken the hit.
All the while watching as a seemingly listless and inactive management team watched and 'went silent' as our companys shareprice spiralled from its highs...highs that were only ever as heady as a market cap around $70 million...much, much lower than many of its peers.
We are now approaching a very critical time in this companys history.
The company have some decisions to make. And those decisions shouldnt be made solely and one dimensionally on just getting 'developments'...
Uran and Kate Hobbs/Pat Ryan have a big job ahead of the them to repair the damage, to address the shareprice as the disgrace and disappointment it is..and...to do something 'actively' about it.
The market may have eased re uranium hype and although many players are well down on their highs, many it must be said are not in the strong position Uran 'should be' in in the coming months.
Management have to hit this home to the market. And hard. They havent. Not even close folks.
Kate Hobbs needs to do much much more than 'once again' just doing 'auto pilot' and doing the circuit of media and radio and having 'feel good' conversations that in effect have no consequence or impact on the share price.
Management are sitting on production opportunities in Ukraine in several areas and projects, the most compelling 'perhaps' being the proposed consortium in a mine with over 100K of uranium that is close to 'production ready' in a country hungry for success and development in the wider global markets.
Its a monumental opportunity.
Put simply, Uran need to differentiate themselves CLEARLY...not twiddle their thumbs while sending mixed messages and clues to a market that isnt aware of its enormous opportunities in the CIS.
More urgency and passion required. Much more. Kate Hobbs may appear passionate and hard working, and there is enough evidence to suggest that this may be the case.
But...lets look at the facts. Hard working busy people arent always successful. They need to be 'passionate' and 'smart' and focused on their stakeholders/shareholders.
With Uran there has ALWAYS been a question regarding the companies committment to shareholders and their committment to managing the shareprice.
As a long term shareholder I expect nothing less than 100% efforts from this company and I dont want to see this continued 'grab all' mentality while catching nothing.
Time to focus on the $$ opportunities. Time to maximise returns for shareholders. Time to address this market cap that should be multiples of where it is...particularly with the imminent acquisition of the 2 projects in Ukraine AND the possible consortium in Ukraine soon after.
So Uran, you have milked shareholders over the last 18 months with a 'number' of carrots, and SPP's and placements.
Over that time we have seen highs over $1.60 to now just over 20 cents.
Deals are just not good enough in and of themself now. DETAL is. PASSION is. And COMMITTMENT to shareholders and the SHAREPRICE is.
The 2 upcoming projects need promoting and they need to be clearly explained to a market unsure of what Uran is..or about.
The recent comments by Far East Capital 'again' demonstrating 'another' analysts confusion and bemusement at what this company is on about.
Uran, Pat Ryan and Kate Hobbs its time to wake up to your FULL responsibilities.
