I understand that this radiometric anomaly was picked up during an aerial survey in 2007. The then owner of the lease naturally sent in geologists to check it out on the ground - uranium is valuable stuff! Nothing was reported, and the lease was sold to an English company, African Eagle, who were also looking for uranium. They apparently also sent in their geologists, looked at the ground - and then sold the lease to Jacana, which folded it into SYR.
