The outlook for Uranium is now strongly positive. The climate change talks in Durban are not going to result in a meaningful resolution. That means the Kyoto protocol is dead in the water. The West will not cooperate to implement a workable emissions trading programme. This is mainly because the US refuses to do anything to impede its economic growth and they correctly say that the main CO2 emitters are the developing nations - especially China and India.

The developing nations rightly answer that the West has been responsible for the high atmospheric CO2 due to 200 years of industrialization and it is unfair to deny the emerging nations the opportunity to develop their infrastructure.

The stage is now set for a rapid rise in the CO2 levels and a rapidly evolving climatic catastrophe. This will become very obvious in the next 3-5 years.

There will then be a worldwide panic to secure climate friendly energy sources. There will be only one game in town capable of meeting this need and that will be uranium.

My bet is that both China and India will soon be hell bent on securing good uranium reserves and Australian deposits will be the most sought after - mainly for geopolitical reasons.

If you have grandchildren, buy them a swag of quality uranium shares as a Christmas present. They will be enormously grateful in the years to come.

The 20th century ran on oil. The 21st will run on uranium. There is now no choice.
