I havent looked at the Open Interest Preempt, but it would be interesting timing for longs to close positions - in light of Cameco needing to go to market to fulfil contract obligations, LH going on Care and Maintenance, you have to wonder if its shorts closing or whether traders are closing out positions.
Either way, could be some interest building - we're not there yet but worth keeping any eye on.
