I thought your original post was referring to QNL as a good way to get a slice of Marenica from a retail investors POV. I didn't realise you were saying that it's a cheap way for the company to get into Marenica.

However, it does not answer the question of how exactly QNL hope to find $21m+ to make the acquisition, if indeed that is their intention.
The cynical view of the timing of this announcement is that it's a PR stunt to help get the equity issue away, and that QNL have paid 20-30k (small change) to dangle a carrot in front of wavering QNL investors, creating the illusion that they're a forward-looking and acquisition hungry company.

Has Quest proposed how they might fund the Xanthos acquisition?
If I was a QNL investor being asked to cough up more money in an equity issue for just $2m, I would want to know.
