Nuclear fuel for power generation can be stored for many years prior to being used in very little space, making power generation from nuclear a very viable and critical generation method. Sure, renewables will keep on going (for their useful lifetime, and less efficiently thereafter), but, nuclear power will keep the military bases and hospitals going.
