To be honest, I don't want to get into technical details, or itemize demands and supplies although I am the "lucky" a few who had actually visited uranium mines and nuclear reactor.
Look, people just focused on demand. And the to be diminishing secondary supply. It is true, demand is very high in next 20-30 years if new technology cannot be realized.
But check the supply side, what could come up when every single specs are telling the illusive shortage story.
Let's take one country for example, the project production from 2008 to 2013 is:
Country: Namibia
New producer: PDN: target 7 mlb;
Trekkipje: under construction, target 8.5mlb
Extract: target 13 mlb?
BMN: target 7 mlb
Valencia: target: 4.5 mlb
DYL: ? target?
Total: 40 mlb+, that is 20% of world demand!
How about our Aussie? Central Asia? Canada? Other African countries? How many have a plan to become a producer? If BHP can get its way with Olympic Dam, the world is flooded by uranium! Unthinkable!
Keep this in mind, uranium is not very rare, it is plenty. Because of radioactive and powerful, people worship it, prohibit it, make it looks more strategic than it deserves.
