    Richard,
I posted this on the uranium thread following a read of the WA news this afternoon ....... was surprised to see the wa news poll results....
I suspect there is no need to email the ALP info line you provided as if they have a political nous they will be aware of the polls pending impact if it is within a 5% + or - tolerance accuracy.
MXR is one of a number of stocks that could be rerated if Barnett gets up over Carpenter next weekend....interesting times for W.A. comapnies with Uranium in the ground which is currently not valued into their share price...
10,000tonnes of uranium supposedly has an inground resource value of $2 bn.
MXR has an inferred resource of 3,400 tonnes of Uranium in W.A in the Narndee group of their tenements.
The WA News also did some polling in two seat which shows the libs will win both of them, one from an independent and the other from a Labor member.
The interesting poll results in the WA News today....

    "Poll Results
Should uranium mining be banned in WA?
    39% Yes
    61% No

    Who has your vote?
    31% Labor
    60% Liberal
    3% Nationals
    6% Other

Who deserves to be WA Premier at the next election?
    76% Colin Barnett
    24% Alan Carpenter

Who should lead the WA Liberals to the next election?
    71% Colin Barnett
    9% Kim Hames
    7% Steve Thomas
13% Brendon Grylls under a coalition

If the Liberals benefit from a swing against Labor and knock over Carpenter, the Uranium stocks could see some blue sky in the weeks following the election next weekend...

With the mining boom in W.A. in full swing, which has attracted a lot of potential new voters to W.A. who are beneficiaries of a prosperous mining industry, the stand by Carpenter, against more carbon efficient energy may have under estimated the voters who benefit from the full impact down the chain from the mining industry. If W.A. backs the libs and uranium mining it could introduce a new issue into the Queensland political debate ( but wouldn't have as much impact in Qld as it is a highly SE Qld based population)"
