Agree, the media drama has certainly played out with the protests, but what happens geopolitically from here is anyone's guess.
In my eye's Russia now officially occupies Kazakhstan and they won't be leaving anytime soon. This is now a golden opportunity for Russia to use Kazakhstan to build out a better border defence against NATO. Will they annex all or part, not too sure, that has risks, but it all depends a bit on the who and why of the attempted change of regime.
Fuel buyers will be worried more about this more than the possible disruptions - the future is uncertain with Russian occupation.
