I had a bit of a question mark around the committee’s role and responsibilities, so I went to the Danish Government’s website presuming the Danish Parliamentary System was the basic building block of the Greenlandic Parliamentary System and found …’But the committees are where these decisions are prepared.’

Which may or may not be relevant.

But what I do think is relevant is that the Danish parliament has a Greenland Committee (who knew!)

The more I dig the more levels of influence/power I find built into the system and in my opinion I would not be surprised to see the Uranium Bill held up in committee and thus a decision delayed, giving the government an out with the voters. Something along the lines of ‘see it was those nasty Suimut people that thwarted the will of Greenlanders blah blah blah.’
