Looking back on some older media it is interesting to note that 6 months ago Centro was singing from the same hymm sheet that it is singing from now.

    See this article: http://news.sbs.com.au/worldnewsaustralia/centro_hoses_down_sales_talk_137764

So back in December 2007 centro was saying the following:

But Centro today stressed any asset sale would not be forced, as it undertakes a review of ways to secure its long term capital structure.

"The group reiterates that it is not under any obligation to sell assets and would only do so selectively if necessary," it said.

"If asset sales are decided upon, whether in Australia or the US, Centro will look at selectively divesting assets that will allow it to repay short term debt while at the same time preserving security holder value.

"What is required is the development of a strategic plan or road map to successfully operate the group on an ongoing basis."

Six months on one would hope the strategic plan would be well developed, but even recently the the company talks about it in the future tense; as if it is still being put together.

I wonder when the long suffering shareholders will get to see something of the "stragic plan"
