Another bit on your 29th July
With an election looming the Hollow Men of all colours simply would not truck any lobbying from the nuclear industry.
Labor is controlled by the unions and the unions have a lot of members still in the coal industry. What union members think or want is irrelevant, their desperate leaders are desperately trying to keep those members in jobs, so they can collect fees and keep getting their 6 figure salaries.
They saw what happened when the Pilbara was eventually sorted out - mining became efficient, memberships dropped close to zero, workers wages became the stuff of legends and union leaders were out of their jobs.
The Libs would love to get the coal et al industries in order but they can't risk a major campaign against them.
The Green only exist because their policies are so superficial they can fill the 10 second sound bite and they are masters at consistently refusing to discuss and never debate their policies.
The Hollow Men don't want any issue that may see them lose their seat; their egos are too fragile.
The nuclear lobby is too aware of that and the fact that the public is 'willingly ignorant', or is it wilfully ignorant?
