This is the Utilities lobbying but I can't see how they can get their way. How do they pay for the fuel if the SWIFT system is shut down(they'll probably find a way). The political backlash for USA would show an embarassingly high level of disloyalty to other NATO countries such as Germany who are foregoing gas supplies and Sweden(believed to be requesting to join NATO with Finland) who have terminated their Uranium supply agreements with Russia.
This is a moment for US to stand up and make alternative arrangements and I think they will. So get ready for some serious scrambling as US source uranium from other countries and rachet up their enrichment options. We've been talking about their reactor fuel supply risks for some time, well I think we'll see a lot more announcements over the next month.
