Interesting news. Whilst the spot may go down, what about the long term price contracts? These are the ones which PEN will likely be using down the track.
But is it that far down the track?
With most U price contracts put in place for delivery in, at a minimum, 2 years time, and with PEN's production timetable put at 2012, have PEN already been in talks with a buyer?
The very recent trip to China may indicate that this is so. All speculation I know.
What is less of a speculation is that the figures for new reactors in China is put at closer to 300. Add to that the HRT or pebble reactor technology being developed and you get an inkling for the potential massive demand for Uranium just in China.
