What a shocking ramp!! The statement alone that uranium can go above $200 and even $1000 shows that the writer of the article has no idea what they are talking about.

If uranium went above $200/lb, it would then be feasible to extract uranium from sea water and the Japanese already have the technology to do it. There is an abundance of uranium on Earth. The problem is not it's scarcity but the fact that most of the uranium occurances around the world are low grade and are uneconomical to mine at current prices. If uranium prices started moving even towards $80/lb, many mines would recommence again or be economical again. It may take some of them a few years to commence production but their recommencement alone would keep a check on uranium prices.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet. Isn't that what some of you were saying re Fukushima??
