The bubble has not formed around the stocks with deposits. It is solely around those that have 'cashed' in on the magic word. They will bleed hard!
We now have WA Labor pollies suggesting debate around the issue could be healthy! The political environment is going to change very quickly as oil/gas and coal prices continue to march painfully north! I am more worried about a general stockmarket bubble that seems to have rallied harder the higher energy prices have got! Big correction coming!
Most of the goldbugs have had their profit taking days shortened by the uranium phenomenum! There will be little place for gold in the post peak oil environment! Silver definately! Gold has no function if economies have all their money gobbled by the energy monster! No point storing wealth if it is stored in something that has no use. This is a hard concept for goldbugs to understand. Central banks have seen this coming for a long time! That is why they have offloaded gold inventories. Energy commodities and energy generating infrastructure is the safest way to store wealth (ie spend it!) because you need energy to generate economic growth.
