As far as I can make out 4,000 Tonnes of u308 is ~8.8m lbs of u308. CAMECO produces 18.7m lbs of the stuff and they are the 2nd largest producer after Kazatmptom at somewhere in the range of 48m lbs. The entire country of Namibia produces about 12.4m lbs.
BHP is the 3rd largest producer of the stuff in the world from a company perspective and as a by product.
it could well be that the ore they are mining at OD extension has a lower uranium content which "might" be a possible explanation for the relatively low increase in u308 production vs the Cu increase.
In my view, producing the u308 as a saleable product is merely a way to get it offsite so it does not become a waste product that requires eventual rehabilitation at some point in the future. I.e it is about cost reduction rather than revenue.
