    Hi
Just setting up a new thread to discuss the fact that there is a huge fertiliser crisis which without new technology/industry improvements will only worsen. Various industry experts have differing opinions on when exactly phosphate will run out but one thing is clear, the world needs fertiliser to survive. Also, another variable that will speed up phosphate fertiliser shortages is the fact that there is increasing demand for Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries as they "offer lots of benefits compared to lead-acid batteries and other lithium batteries". Please see links below for more info on these issues.

So how is this relevant to ZEO?
ZEO's results from initial studies "provide confidence in the utilisation of manufactured zeolites to develop an economically compelling fertiliser delivery platform". "The agronomic studies showed that manufactured zeolites were capable of: High nutrient retention and exceptionally high phosphorus retention". This is exactly what the world needs to mitigate the global food crisis.

Phosphate fertiliser 'crisis' threatens world food supply

"Reducing use is also key, said Blackwell. The soil tests available to farmers at the moment are not very advanced, he said, so farmers add extra phosphate to be sure. This means excess phosphate in most agricultural soils, estimated as representing a century’s supply."

    Excert from Zeotech website:
"early agronomic studies deliver promising resultsGriffith University has undertaken a nine-month pilot trial (completed July 2021), which has revealed that there is considerable potential to develop Zeotech products that offer solutions for large-scale agricultural challenges. The results provide confidence in the utilisation of manufactured zeolites to develop an economically compelling fertiliser delivery platform, which offers multiple adjunct benefits including the potential for CO2 sequestration, as well as the application of manufactured zeolites as an agricultural pollutant treatment. The agronomic studies showed that manufactured zeolites were capable of: High nutrient retention and exceptionally high phosphorus retention; Pesticide removal and compound breakdown; Enhanced moisture retention; andDecreased soil acidification."

Enormous’ fertilizer shortage spells disaster for global food crisis.
"The high cost of fertilizers will likely keep the cost of food dangerously high."

P.S - for a thorough and well explained analysis of ZEO, check out Artseck's post "The Year of the ZEO" !!! Very exciting future ahead for ZEO IMO

    Cheers
