China has the technical know how's on REE, they process and export REE and have a fully developed supply chain, yet they need the actual REEs ores as raw material, which is the same as coal, iron ore and other materials which they import abroad. They would happily invest in Greenland if they have the opportunity, just look at what China did for the poorer African countries in terms of infrastructure. There Is similarities as Greenland will desperately need infrastructure as an basis for a good economy. China is doing what European settlers refused to do for the last hundred years, which is lot of lip service but not actually building the countries up for success.
