but moosey, the MX25's laser sighting does determine range - central to its appeal to the powers who be (and who purchase)

and sure, the 3GL is easier to deploy for every Tom, Dick and Harry's rifle, but the idea of fusing our tech with the MX25 would probably result in bulking a 3GL out too much, meaning any fused weapon would likely be a stand alone, and not readily mountable device - your situation of choosing between a rifle or taking only a 3GL/MX25 because of the size of the thing

- anyhoo, any way you try to split hairs about possible fusings etc, this MX25 laser tech with its other varible inputs all of which are loaded onto a chip within the ammo, clearly shows where further innovation will be occuring some further way down the long long MST path

- and what a very very long path it is...
