It is the busiest trade route and most of that trade is with China. China is not about to stop trading with the rest of the world. It is more about China feeling threatened by being encircled by several US naval fleets, surveillance by unmanned US drones, constant edging by the US to neighbouring countries to follow its lead in challenging China to basically prop up America's failing financial and political control of the world.
