The thing is that the demerged entity about to operate in US will operate independently from AZD Australia. Only those stockholders on the register from a certain date will be offered options in the new US entity.
Therefore can't see how the demerger helps AZD sp locally but could have misundertood the structure of the deal I suppose.
Looks to me like Matthieson has given up on Australia completely!
Certainly no activity in the market for a long time now and I expect Annual Results won't be too flash either.
