Soundwave has missed the entire point of this whole thread, the points raised have gone straight over the top and not sunk in
If Lake Produce Lithium Carbonate at some stage in the future (and Argentina still doesnt have a Free Trade Agreement with the US), then it doesn't mean the Carbonate is worthless, it just means it wont be going to the USA. It will instead be shipped to Japan, Korea, China etc
The whole point of the thread is the impact of the Inflation Reduction Act and how a company that has 100% of its production capacity in Argentina will not be a supplier to the US Market given the conditions of the Act.
So what was the purpose of setting up your head office in the US or hiring a US based CEO ? It is now redundant, you are better off hiring a Japanese or Korean or Chinese CEO as that will be your target market
