I cheekily asked Commsec whether in the light of this development they would be reducing their high brokerage costs or following suit. Awaiting response.
Worth noting that Stake already offer zero brokerage on US shares, they make their money on force. Commsec charge a horrendous 0.31% on deals above $10,000 US.
Eventually there will be a disruptor that changes the Australian brokerage market.
