The battery market is booming, and this promises to grow more. The big problem will be and is scarcity of raw materials. A new one close to commercialisation is the Lithium-Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese battery, China is investing heavily in this. This is promising for MLX unexploited asset, really the elephant in MLX, the Wingellina deposit with its surface occurrence, pre powdered, heap leaching friendly nature all teed up and ready to roll with investment. This is potentially much larger than Nifty and Renison, and with heap leaching, and local availability of input chemicals and underground artesian water, a possibly high profit margin. A premixed nickel-cobalt product can be produced, and the LME will be introducing I recall, a publicly traded market for this. The first of these are planned in about 2 years time, but it is wise to tee up supply sources for raw materials if you are planning a battery factory. The EU is coming in late to the party having been almost asleep on this but is now in a panic rush to catch up. A bunch of new plants are planned in Germany, Sweden, Austria-Hungary, Denmark, etc. Looks like a surge in demand for Nickel-Cobalt and needless to say, lithium, is coming down he track. It is capitalised at zero in the MLX share price despite being a multi billion dollar deposit.
