Great posts guys but right now it appears that the word is that the US will continue with rate hikes and are happy with a higher dollar. The immediate future for PMs is lousy as we saw overnight.
I am still of the view that QE and lower r will rule the day but when? As you said - we are in a new environment now and history is no guide. As I said quite a while back, the worst possible mistake was made by CBs to the 2008 problems and we will pay a very heavy price. The system was trying to clean out the excesses (as is normal in economics) but the CBs decided it was best to stop that from happening. The system WILL correct itself at some stage but at great cost to all. AIMOO.
