Think about CBMM in Brazil with niobium. Yes, it is possible to be a successful sole source supplier to the world, but this is not the same as the situation Lynas is in. CBMM can apply all the Nb for the world. Lynas can only supply a small part of what will ultimately be needed if current technology cannot reduce the per-unit REE demand. They were not configured to grow further in Malaysia. The WA and US operations give this investor renewed hope.
I would like to see a Lynas JV within India to address their needs with their monazite sands.
I would like to see a JV with Iluka or any global mineral sands operation with respect to tailings.
I would like to see a JV with any of the big polymets.
We need to see ROW Big Auto think bigger and provide security of demand for Lynas and ROW mining to build around. Cart/horse. Chicken/egg. Supply/demand.
