No no. Capitalists don't want to earn money. Capitalists want other people to work on their behalf and to appropriate the money earned by other people. Actually, the capitalist appropriates the labour power of others, and it's misleading to talk about earning money. This is the commodity fetishism or form of appearance that Marx was getting at.
