I was one of the people that posted on this extensively some time back.
Biggest decisions that they needed to make was:
Which cafe today?
Where to sit, inside or outside?
Flat white or latte?
Seriously as posted, I agree, taking the win, doing nothing, quiting while ahead, winding up the company was, and still is a vaid business choice. It was by far the best choice some time back and still is. It was quite obvious. It is a shame that it is a choice not more often made. I guess egos get in the way.
It is no disrespect to say that most of these small oilers do not have the expertise to succeed in the long run, PPP being one of them.
One of the biggest problems preventing managers/directors thinking straight, I suspect, is the question of the sinecure.
Notwithstanding in the case of PPP there are some big shareholdings held by those pulling the strings. You would have to think that the loss of shareholder value would be smarting a little
