gregbyday - My opinion is that all assets will remain under selling pressure until debt levels can be comfortably serviced again. House prices in America are the first issues that must be addressed; once that's rectified then people will begin spending again. Only when they begin to spend up big is when inflation will kick in. For now it's a time for saving and reducing debt levels.

The whole scenario is very hard to get right, which I believe is due to the amount of hardship and emotion that's running rampant right now. It's the sheer disbelief that the economy is going against the script. Old habits die hard.
