I dont think many commentators realised the extent of central bank sales. This is what has halted any run a lot higher imo. There are a number of key things in addition to solid fundamentals that will help gold in the next mth or so including a seasonally strong period for gold and a predicted slow down of central bank sales. I expect September to reveal a lot about the future direction of the gold price. Interesting times directly ahead....
