They are basing that on the experience of China, which has now apparently returned to 'growth'.

I am not going to argue with that, because I don't have the information or the energy to do so.

Whatever the case, people buying shares now will have to wait for earnings to catch up to the share prices.

Interestingly, one of the first few Covid-19 drugs to reach Stage 3 clinical trials has a trial completion date of October 27,2022.

Apparently only 2/5 drugs that reach Stage 3 actually get FDA approval. So even if it passed, there is another two years to wait.
