    Obviously there will be some sectors that will benefit and some that do not. It will depend on their product mix and the component of their product costs that comes from imported items that they would normally be expected to be able to buy cheaper and of course what pricing power they have for their products due to other market factors.

    A spread of access to the US and other high value markets to other countries is probably welcomed by the US administration, although there will be a continuing economic restructuring in the US to find and exploit industrial sectors where they have a relative advantage.

    This is not a quick process and the political fallout and economic pain of the adjustment process will continue for quite some time.
