Hello wildthing what they haven't told you is that due to much higher wages in all western countries we have no advantage in any sector. Currently the chinese and indians have only gone after the low hanging fruit as they develop further they will increasingly target more sophisticated sectors. What I find most amusing about western countries moving towards service based economies and claiming comparative advantage in this area is that in the long run a service based economies major input and expense is it's people and this is exactly where the Asians/indians etc have their biggest advantage. In short wildthing the super rich will get richer and the middle classes in western industrialised countries will fade away.
