a.c. found your comments re super and speccies interesting - i like havng some speccies in super so that if you get a 10 or 20 bagger you dont pay it all in tax, and it doesnt necc. put you in higher tax bracket etc I know the franking credits are handy but so is a big winner at low tax!!

I never have enough success with my speccies to make a 10 bagger lol, and after the 2008/09 GFC I drew up some new rules for my investment behaviours. My Super Fund got decimated, and BMA Gold (went bust in Jan-07) was a disastrous precursor for what happened late on - just to make it all worse. :) After that I ploughed some money into MFG and GMG (when it was 20-25c) and started a slow slog to recovery. I only put speccies in my personal name now and use up all my tax losses....lol :)

Well done with CSL and others - love that stock.

MFG (share price) has the capacity to keep rising for as long as it keeps winning new mandates, so we could be watching another Perpetual in the making (or another Platinum - when it was TRULY growing - a long time ago before it was publicly listed at the top of the market). As long as I keep seeing world markets stabilise; and MFG FUM Keep growing then I am happy to keep holding this stock. It has already made up for some folly on my behalf over the years and I am trusting them (for the foreseeable future) to help secure my retirement sometime next decade.
