NEW YORK (AP) -- Shares of some top gold companies were down at the close of trading:
Barrick Gold Corp. fell $2.11 or 8.5 percent, to $22.62.
Gold Fields Ltd ADS fell $.43 or 6.0 percent, to $6.79.
GoldCorp. fell $1.53 or 4.9 percent, to $29.68.
Newmont Mining Corp. fell $2.28 or 5.9 percent, to $36.37.
