I just wanted to follow up here again with a little more technical detail.

Here is an image on the Bristol Bay watershed (Its actually made up of two watersheds; The Nushagak River Watershed, and the Kvichak River Watershed):


The watershed is basically the area in which any rainwater will end up in Bristol bay. All water moves, whether its on the surface in streams/river/lakes, or in the ground. So all water introduced into that area above, be it rain or discharge from a mine, will eventually end up in Bristol bay.

I have circled the Pebble mine location in the above map, you can see it literally sits exactly on the boarder of both watersheds that feed Bristol bay. The salmon run up both the rivers, so any potential issue at the proposed mine would contaminate BOTH rivers...


I could not find a good map that shows both the Bristol Bay watershed and the location of the Estelle Prospect (Estelle is off the map in the above image) so I've made my own, below:



You can see NVA's Estelle project is well to the North of the Bristol Bay watershed.


This is a total non-issue for NVA.
