Some 20 deaths have already been attributed to the heatwave affecting the NorthEast of the USA.

The report below asserts that the unusually long heat wave is set to create new records. IMO the details provide an insight into what we can increasingly expect to see as the result of global warming - 'normal' extreme events will be exaggerated further to become catastrophic extreme events.

News reports tonight also showed footage of the convict ruins at Port Arthur being flooded by abnormal storm surges while of course Sydney is experiencing a huge wet July. All of this after Cyclone Yasi just last Summer.
