In Wodonga we've recently experienced temperatures into the mid 40Cs but most of us did find that pretty hot. People like my 80yo Mum really struggled but survives in a nursing home as we speak despite a recent bout of pneumonia. The people who died in Vic's bushfires also found the ultra extremes a bit too much to handle.

But kids in Ethiopia who not only don't have air conditioners but may be exposed to the elements & lack for both food & water are in deep trouble. So too older people in Greece who can no longer afford to pay the cost & whose recent weather extremes have been record-breaking. As for Pakistanis eking out a meagre existence on flood prone rivers that exceed all expectations, ...
